Meltdown Huntlee is a collaboration between the cafe and those that join us for a meal or a drink, it’s about building a place to encourage community and provide a space to bite, sip explore and have a bit of fun of a morning.
the coffee
We’ve worked closely with some local legends of coffee roasting down at Floozy Coffee to make sure your daily cup is as delicious as you deserve. Choosing the right people work with was really important when it came to coffee. The choices were dependant on plenty of factors from quality, consistency, environmental impact, social impacts and ensuring that every person involved right down the supply chain was being compensated fairly to making sure we could share a similar passion for the product and enjoy cup after cup of what I hope you will all enjoy as much as we do.
With the difficulty in finding kitchen staff we’re starting with the classics and some baguettes and other ready to go options, as we begin to broaden our team we will be able to introduce a stronger food offering. The menu will always be a collaborative approach between the business and those that visit to ensure there’s something on the menu that you want to try, and things that we can proud to serve and eat everyday for our staff meals.
the ingredients
As we introduce this business we’ll be sourcing ingredients from reputable suppliers that we believe can provide a level of quality that will elevate our food and beverage to ensure that we are providing a top quality product to all of our customers. In the future we will look to expand our farming operation to ensure our produce is grown organically on our property nearby, this helps us be adventurous, and keep the cost down. Our compostable waste and coffee grounds will be returned to the property, broken down and used as fertiliser so we can have the healthiest crops served up to our guests.
